Following the elections of 6 March 2021, the Union Européenne de Cyclisme’s Management Board was held virtually yesterday and certain important decisions and initiatives were taken regarding the next four years 2021-2025.
During this Management Board meeting, held after the elections, among other decisions taken, were the composition of UEC Commissions that will be in place until 2025 (click here) and the 2021 Under 23 Junior Track European Championships that were officially awarded to Apeldoorn (Netherlands) from 17-22 August, as well as the first edition of the BMX Flatland European Championships on 3 and 4 June in Bochum (Germany).
The Union Européenne de Cyclisme also confirmed the agreement with the European Olympic Committee to include MTB Cross-Country and BMX Freestyle Park in the 2023 European Games programme, the multisport event planned in Krakow and Malopolska (Poland) from 21 June to 3 July.

The countries represented by members of Commissions for the next four years are no less than 30, which demonstrates our Confederation’s enthusiasm and drive and above all important synergy with our grassroots movement. I would like to wish the members of new Commissions every success in their work, who will now have the task and responsibililty of making their own contribution to the development of our sport in Europe».
The next Management Board meeting will be held in Lausanne (Switzerland) at the UEC headquarters at the Maison du Sport Internationale on 27 May 2021.
